More than three hundred years ago, the Moris family left Spain and settled in the Maremma along the coast of Tuscany. The estate has remained in this family ever since, and today, they manage an incredible 450 hectares: vineyards, olive groves, wheat fields, and many cypress trees. Sangiovese in the form of Morellino di Scansano is the featured wine produced by Moris Farms and the centerpiece of this collection is Avvoltore. Considered among the top Sangiovese-based wines in the region, the name is a reference to the birds of prey seen circling on the highest hill on the estate.
