Riccardo Catocci, along with his wife Savina, run this polycultural farm in the hills of the Maremma, Tuscany, in the subregion of Montecucco.  At their certified-organic farm, they raise animals, and grow a variety of cereal grains, including wheat, garbanzos, lentils, and farro, as well as olives.  Riccardo is among the hardest working individuals we’ve met, doing nearly everything by himself, in the fields as well as in the cellar. These are honest, well-made wines that carry an elegance and complexity far exceeding the humble domaine. We’ve had the privilege of maintaining a strong relationship with Le Calle for 25 years and have been the sole outlet for these wines in the United States for the majority of that time.
