The first vintage of Brunello by Caprili was in 1978. The estate was purchased in 1965 when the Bartolommei family were able to create their small azienda from the much larger Pieve Santa Restituta holdings. Producing only 60,000 bottles annually, they farm 21 hectares organically with the oldest parcel, Madre vineyard, dating back to the 1960s, and all subsequent vines originating from massale selections from this site. Giacomo has pushed quality to even higher standards in recent years and they have exploded in popularity all the while maintaining very fair pricing across the board. Our relationship dates back to 2008 and the future is ever so bright for them.
